Signum Verbum is Shiktra's assistive-technology innovation focused on improving communication accessibility through intelligent, real-time interfaces.
Built on the premise that accessibility cannot be an afterthought, the platform explores two foundational pillars of universal communication: streaming speech-to-sign language translation and institutional-grade text-to-Braille conversion.
The Problem: Latency & Fragmentation
Existing sign language translation software lags spoken dialogue by multiple seconds. In classroom lectures, helpdesks, and customer conversations, latency breaks the natural rhythm of human interaction. Furthermore, Braille conversion remains fragmented across ad-hoc vendor software that frequently breaks on mathematical notations, STEM symbols, and multi-format embossing.
